Can the guy on fire feel the fire? Can the guy not on fire see that the other guy is on fire? Is the fire just a metaphor for how we can never know how another person truly feels even though we can touch them physically? Can you ever truly understand your fellow man or are we each playing a role in each others own self-reflexive home movie? Why the need for the drain in the foreground? What is the comment that’s being made on the film industry? Clearly they’re standing on a Hollywood backlot. How many seconds after this photo was taken did the guy on fire remain on fire before stunt crews put him out?
